Tanya G. Khvitsko of Knit-Rite, Inc. participated in the 2014 Endeavor Games (Challenged Athletes Foundation) in Edmond, OK at the University of Central Oklahoma from June 5th to June 6th.
With running as her specialty, Tanya placed in first for the 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter races.
Although this was her second year in attendance, she was happy to try her hand at a few other sports like ping pong, the long jump and archery. “I think the archery event was really fun … I’m thinking about trying it again next year and getting in to it more,” she commented.
For those who might otherwise struggle with holding the bowstring with their hands, these unique bows involve a different technique for pulling back the bowstring. “There is a special string designed so that you can pull the bowstring back with your teeth. You wouldn’t think so, but it really wasn’t painful at all.”
